"Epaphroditus" whose name means, "devoted to love," was given great recognition and honor for his service to the cause of Christ. Through the Spirit, the Apostle Paul carefully chose these words to describe his devotion: "...my brother, fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger, whom you sent to take care of my needs...Indeed, he was ill, and almost died...for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up for the help you could not give me." When he was sent home from his mission, the church was instructed to: "Welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor men like him." Past Recipients of This Honor
